It all started in founder Nikki Azzara's college dorm room. Chickpea cookies and black bean brownies, along with other creative concoctions that made her favorite treats...well, nutritious. As a gluten free foodie, avid runner and health enthusiast, Nikki always loved creating recipes for better-for-you snacks to satisfy her sweet tooth.
The real "aha moment" came during the summer after graduating from Wake Forest University in 2014 - forget corporate world, these healthy treat alternatives should be shared with the world!
So Nikki created P.S. Snacks as a platform for better-for-you treat alternatives -- her favorite desserts made with ingredients that are plant-based, nutrient dense, and actually good for you. Meant to be enjoyed as a healthy snack, anytime-of-day.
It was only fitting that her all-time favorite creation, her chocolate chip chickpea-based cookie dough, was launched as the first product to hit shelves. Now, we're working hard to get our cookie dough to you, wherever you may be, so we can all indulge with a clean conscience.
P.S. We now have 3 flavors (Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Fudge Brownie) -- free of gluten, flour, grains, dairy (they're vegan!), soy, preservatives, junky oils, refined sugars, gums, and any ingredient you wouldn't keep in your own kitchen.
