How are you supposed to eat this cookie dough?

Grab a spoon and dig in! Our cookie dough is ready-to-eat and makes a perfect healthy snack, anytime of day. We also love using our dough as a peanut or almond butter substitute, or as a delicious topping, mix-in or frosting. Recipe and usage inspiration here.


Is this cookie dough safe to eat raw?

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. No eggs (risk of salmonella) or flour (risk of e. coli) so you can safely enjoy this cookie dough straight from the container.

Can you bake this cookie dough?

You can! But we actually encourage eating it raw. It's yummy in the microwave, or try baking the dough on a cookie sheet at 375˚ for 15-18 minutes. Our preference is non-baked however.


What happens if my dough is frozen?

You're in luck, it will last even longer! If you receive your cookie dough frozen, you can stick it back in the freezer to extend its shelf life (9 months), or defrost the dough in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3 weeks!


The cookie dough contains beans?

Yes, organic beans (chickpeas and black beans) make up 65% of our cookie dough base!


Is the cookie dough gluten free?

Yes, founder Nikki created the cookie dough when she found out she had a gluten allergy! The cookie dough does not contain gluten, flour or grains. We do not use equipment that processes gluten or flour, and our cookie dough is made in a gluten-free facility. Official GF certification coming soon!


Is the cookie dough vegan?

Yes, all three flavors of our cookie dough are 100% vegan and vegetarian, as we do not use eggs or dairy, and our chocolate chips are organic, vegan and fair-trade certified. No animal byproducts whatsoever!


Does the cookie dough contain nuts?

Yes, our original chocolate chip flavor contains almonds, while the peanut butter and fudge brownie flavors contain peanuts.


Does the cookie dough need to be refrigerated?

Yes, it does. Because we are using produce (beans) and no preservatives, this cookie dough is perishable. If you purchase our cookie dough in stores, the container should have an expiration date. If you order online, the cookie dough will last 3 weeks in the refrigerator from the time you receive it, or up to 9 months if stored in the freezer.

Yikes... the shipping is expensive?

Sadly yes, shipping refrigerated items across the country is expensive -- the shipping costs reflect the actual FedEx rate (no up-charge). We're working on national expansion, however, so you can go to your local grocery store to purchase more cost-efficiently!


How is the cookie dough shipped?

We ship your cookie dough overnight via FedEx. You will receive a receipt, then a confirmation once your cookie dough is shipped. Remember, these products are perishable, so if you are not available to receive the package 1-2 business days after ordering, you may want to hold off. Orders placed Friday will be shipped out the following Monday. 


Ugh, my cookie dough arrived broken?

Ugh is right, frustrating for us, too! We're constantly working on supply chain improvements, but since shipping is out of our control this can sometimes happen. No fret! Just send a picture + refund request to and you will be refunded in no time. Thank you for your understanding.


I don't really like it... can I return it?

Sorry to hear that, it's not for everyone! Always happy to hear feedback though, so don't feel shy reaching out. Unfortunately we are not accepting returns, and can only refund damaged items.
